The reason a good knit gets worn to death is that it never asks anything of you. It goes over whatever you already have on, and the result reads as a decision rather than an accident.
Worn on its own it is the whole outfit; worn under something it disappears and does its job. Very few garments are honestly good at both.

What you are looking at up close
The ribbing at the neck, the cuffs and the hem is knitted separately and set on, rather than cut from the body cloth. That is the single thing that decides whether the shape is still there after a season of washing.

The cut is identical in all four. The colour decides the job: the neutrals go under everything and behave, and the rest are the ones that make a plain outfit look chosen.

Why it costs what it costs
Most of the cost in a knit sits in the parts you stop noticing after a week: ribbing knitted separately and set on at the neck, cuffs and hem, and a knit dense enough to keep its shape. Those are what separate a sweater you keep from one you replace every season.
The price is low for a boring reason: we sell direct. Every stage we removed between the factory and you was a stage that added cost without adding anything to the product.

How should it fit?
It should sit close at the shoulder with room through the body, so a shirt underneath has space. If you are between two sizes and want to layer, take the larger one.
Will it go out of shape?
Not if it is dried flat. The ribbing holds the neck, cuffs and hem, and it recovers as long as the garment is not left hanging wet.
How do I wash it?
Wash it cool and inside out, then dry it flat rather than on a hanger — that is what keeps the shoulders from stretching out.
Is it a good gift?
One of the easier things to give: the sizing is forgiving and there is a colour here for most people.

Send it back within 14 days of delivery, unworn and in its original packaging, and we will exchange it or refund you.
